Hi! I'm Missy, the Fifty Foot Girl.*
I've never met a creative medium I didn't like, and I've tried a lot of them: photography, puppetry, animation, printmaking, mural-painting, piñata-building, and even stuffed doll making.
I also design logos and build websites with my husband, Alden Karr, over at Antigravity Studios.
In 2008, we moved from Brooklyn, NY to a tiny fishing village in Yucatán, Mexico, where we lived for eight years. Then in 2016—feeling restless and ready for a new adventure— we picked up and moved to Lisbon, Portugal, where I am happily indulging my flânerie habit and my love of pasteis de nata and red wine. I live at the mercy of my overlord, a 16-year old Jack Russell terrier named Roosevelt.
Please drop me a line here for any freelance inquiries, or just say hi!
*Someday over a beer, I'll tell you how I became the Fifty Foot Girl. It’s a funny story.
